What is Co-active?
We are one of the most experienced social enterprise development agencies in the UK.

Established twenty years ago, Co-active Ltd is a social enterprise working with individuals and communities across the far South West of England.

We develop and support social enterprises of all kinds. We offer information, advice and support to a wide range of start-up and established social businesses.

Through both our website and teams of business advisors we are able to give social enterprise the support they need to succeed and grow.

What do you do?
We develop co-operatives, community businesses, community development trusts and other types of social enterprises.

We engage with individuals and communities, enabling them to create and use opportunities and fulfil their potential.

We promote, with other partner organisations, social economy solutions across a wide variety of regeneration programmes.

We work with other economic development organisations to ensure the special contribution of the social economy is understood and usefully deployed.

What services do you offer?
We provide business support to social enterprises in the south west region of the UK.

Developing a sustainable enterprise that involves all its stakeholders and offers real opportunities needs a broad range of support from start-up to successful trading.

Therefore the services we offer are tailored to each enterprise with which we work. The range of services include:

• specialist development work
• incorporation and governance advice
• accredited training across the spectrum of social economy activities
• advice and support for practitioners, co-operators and social entrepreneurs

Who do you work for?

At any one time a variety of agencies might contract with us to provide social enterprise support.

However, our main contract is with Business Link to deliver the Social Enterprise Link service in the south west region of England.
