About Us
What is Co-active?
Established over twenty years ago, Co-active Ltd is one of the most experienced social enterprise support organisations in the UK. As a social enterprise ourselves, we work with individuals and communities across South West England to create, innovate and improve social enterprises.
What do you do?
Working with Business Link, we run a regional support service for social enterprises comprising workshops, seminars and business development advice, all delivered by qualified specialist business advisors. This is a free service, delivered under the central and regional support programme for enterprise.
Co-active provides a comprehensive consultancy service to a wide range of public and private sector organisations at both strategic and operational levels. We work for local authorities, for housing associations, and for economic development bodies of many kinds, to deliver social enterprise solutions on a bespoke basis. Our consultancy work is not confined to the South West region, and we are able to work throughout the UK and beyond, often with European partners, to unlock the potential for social and economic improvements at community and local levels.
What services do you offer?
Co-active provides business support through seminar programmes and one to one business support to emerging and existing social enterprises in the South West region of the UK.
This support comprises:
- free specialist seminars and business advice
- free advice and support for practitioners, co-operators and social entrepreneurs
We are also able to provide individually tailored packages of, advice and support to a wide range of development bodies, as well as designing and delivering training packages in both social enterprise development and individual entrepreneurship, particularly for non-traditional users of such services.
